𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗢𝗟 𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗢𝗡

The Batch SinagAlon of General Santos City Junior Officials started their term productively and progressively! It has been a busy week, so here's a summary of their adventures as Junior City Officials for this week:

On day one, during the opening of Linggo ng Kabataan 2022, the Junior City Officials, with the Junior Barangay Officials, declared their oath at the Veranza Mall Gensan. The City Councillor Orlando "Odjok" Acharon lead their pledge. They also used the opportunity to ask striking questions to the panel during the question and answer portion. It is to impressively note that our Junior City Officials each represented a diverse round of advocacy!

Last August 15, they attended the flag-raising ceremony with the city officials, the Vice Mayor, Hon. Rosalita Nuñez, and the Mayor, Hon. Lorelie Geronimo Pacquiao. During that event, the Junior City Officials had the chance to introduce themselves to the public. Right after, the Junior City Officials briefly attended the LNK Talk Series. Immediately, they went to their seminar and workshop about Public Speaking, Steward Leadership, Good Governance, and Political Participation—all provided by the SK Federation GenSan.

The next day, the seminar and workshop continued as Ma'am Rosalinda Mondido lectured about Resolution and Ordinance Making. They were also able to meet the City Councillor, Hon. Jane Rivera that day. Last August 18, the Junior City Officials were invited for live television guesting at Morning Hataw at Brigada News TV. And yesterday, August 19, the junior officials were granted to meet and talk with Congressman Loreto "Ton" Acharon. He had given pieces of advice and got the chance to know more about the junior constituents of the city.

A promising week, indeed! These youth representatives have described the experience so far as something so overwhelming, exciting, and heartwarming. They are elated to see what else they can do to contribute to our dear General Santos City!
